Cooking up Justice in the Food System: Central Co-op and CAGJ Celebrate Our Food, Our Right!

Join Central Co-op and our longtime Central Community Partner, the Community Alliance for Global Justice, to celebrate Our Food, Our Right and our collective movement for food sovereignty. 

Come to learn about CAGJ's book and to hear from contributors Janae Choquette and Kristen Beifus, who will read from their chapters on African food sovereignty, and the connections between food and trade justice struggles. 

Every year on April 17, La Via Campesina marks the International Day of Peasant's Struggle, so in honor of their call for a global day of action in defense of peasants' and farmers' seeds, CAGJ also invites you to bring seeds to exchange!

Enjoy a cooking demonstration by chef Travis English, and a sampling of recipes from the book!
