Introducing Seattle Made!

Central Co-op is proud to be a Founding Partner of a very exciting new initiative called Seattle Made. Organized by the non-profit Seattle Good Business Network, Seattle Made is a coming together of Seattle-based manufacturers and producers–makers of everything from beer to kimchi, chocolate to biodiesel–with a mission to find and share the resources they need to build their businesses and stay in Seattle.

The coalition behind Seattle Made believes that a healthy, vibrant, and sustainable 21st century city must intentionally include and champion the makers among us, those creators and entrepreneurs who strengthen our economy and our communities through their products and businesses, and who provide living wages and meaningful employment to our residents. Seattle Made reflects our community’s innovative, independent spirit, and our collective stewardship of this glorious green city that we call home.

After a year of program development fueled by the input and support of a large cross-section of Seattle’s small manufacturers, craft producers, the City of Seattle, and a number of visionary Founding Partners like us, Seattle Made launched March 28 with 150 small manufacturers and craft producers as members--including many producers you see on the shelves at Central Co-op.
