Join us on Saturday from 3-5 for a tasting of wines from Slovenia, Macedonia, Sardinia and Savoie!

For this week's tasting, our wine buyer James chose to highlight wines from overlooked but intriguing regions and varieties:

Giocato Jongleur Brut (Goriska Brda, Slovenia) – bright, vivacious sparkling brut with aromas of fresh lime, flowers, and minerals. Read the NY Times piece about the resurgence of Slovenian wines.

Domaine Labbé Abymes (Savoie, France) – light citrus, apple, and floral notes are backed by crisp acidity and gravelly minerality. Reminiscent of an Alpine meadow.

Antonio Sanguineti Cannonau di Sardegna (Sardinia, France) – notes of raspberry, cherry, and plum with plenty of earth and peppery spice.

Jordanov Red Blend (Tikves, Macedonia) – Vibrant on the palate with rich, dark blackberry and tobacco aromas and a long, smooth finish.
