Join us for a spirited tasting event featuring Washington wines!

This week: Wines from Airfield Estates of Prosser, WA, in the heart of the Yakima Valley. Airfield Estates is a family-owned and operated winery that got its name from the World War II airfield that was once located on their land. All of their wine is 100% estate-grown.

We will be sampling the following Airfield Estate wines:

Sauvignon Blanc - Crisp and dry, this wine lights up your taste buds with flavors of zesty lemon-lime. Underlying hints of lychee, minerality, and grassiness carry through on the palate giving way to a delightfully refreshing finish.  Enjoy as an aperitif or pair with salads, shellfish, and lighter style dishes.

Sangiovese Rose - Crisp and dry, Airfield Estates 2016 Rosé teases the senses with flavors of strawberry, kiwi, and pink grapefruit.

Cabernet Sauvignon - This classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon showcases pronounced aromas of blackcurrant with undertones of toasted oak and tea leaf.  Enticing the mouth with a lively mid-palate, this well-balanced wine is framed with firm tannins that lead to a smooth finish of lingering berry flavors.  This wine is an excellent accompaniment to a wide array of fare.

Syrah - This dark, concentrated Syrah possesses flavors of dark berry, clove, and white pepper. With silky smooth tannins and a plush round mouthfeel, this well-balanced wine pairs great with lamb, beef, and aged gouda.
