Basic Canning: Tasty Holiday Treats!

Thursday, November 16 - 6-8 pm

Rochdale Room at 1900 E Madison, Seattle

Learn the basics of water bath canning to make all kinds of delicious jams and jellies, savory chutneys, spicy pickles or other tasty treats.  Imagine bringing homemade cranberry sauce to a holiday gathering or giving gifts from your kitchen this season.  In this class we will discuss tools and equipment needed for canning as well food safety concerns.  You will participate in a live canning demonstration and learn tips and tricks along the way.  You will take home recipes to try at home for cranberry sauce, chutney and more.
