Our Anniversary Party was a Smash!

Our 40th Anniversary Party was the night of Tuesday, October 16 and we had a great time!

The Century Ballroom was filled with members, workers, vendors and community partners celebrating the positive impact the Co-op has had on our community. We heard praises for the Co-op from our elected officials, watched our Anniversary video, and unveiled the commemorative bourbon distilled by Capitol Hill's own OOLA Distillery. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!

 

Special Thanks to:

City Councilmember Lisa Herbold for reading a proclamation from the City Council declaring October 16 "Central Co-op Day" in honor of practices supporting Washington producers and our workers.

State Representative (and Co-op member) Nicole Macri for her reflections on the Co-op and celebration of our impact.

Our MC, Kristi Brown of That Brown Girl Cooks for bringing her energy and spirit to the proceedings.

Kirby Kallas-Lewis of OOLA Distillery for distilling a special Cooperative Spirit Bourbon in honor of our Anniversary.

DJ Royce Yuen, for spinning great 70s and 80s tunes.

Bryson Foster of Foster’s Creative for the excellent Anniversary video he created as well as all of the members, workers and vendors who participated in the video, especially Zanari, co-op kid extraordinaire!
