Central Co-op now offers online grocery delivery and curbside pickup in both Seattle & Tacoma!

Both Seattle & Tacoma shoppers can order online through Instacart for home delivery or curbside pickup at our stores! Shop online for fresh organic produce, local food, artisan cheese, bulk goods, household items, and more, and have them delivered right to your home or office or pick them up on your way home.

How does Instacart work?

Sign up for an Instacart account and shop our online store at instacart.com/central-coop. Almost anything the Co-op carries is available online.

For delivery, choose your delivery time, and wait for an Instacart driver to bring your groceries to your delivery address. Orders can be placed up to 6 days in advance. For pickup, choose a pickup time, let us know when you're at the store, and we'll bring the order right to you!

I have a customer service question. Who should I talk to?
You can contact Instacart at happycustomers@instacart.com or by phone at 1(888)246-7822 to ask about the process of shopping, delivery, or pickup through Instacart. In addition, after each delivery, you’ll have the chance to leave feedback with Instacart--they'll send you instructions on how to do that. Instacart also has a comprehensive online help portal, which can be accessed at www.instacart.com/help.

I need to return something I bought on Instacart from Central Co-op. What should I do?
The only way to get a return or refund for something purchased on Instacart is to contact Instacart directly at happycustomers@instacart.com, or by phone at 1(888)246-7822.

Where and when can I get delivery?

Central Co-op delivery is available to most neighborhoods in Seattle from 9am to 10pm daily, and Tacoma from 9am - 8pm. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, up to 6 days in advance.

I’m an owner—how can I get my purchase applied to my Co-op account?
To get your online purchases applied toward your patronage, enter your owner number in the “Loyalty Card” field under your account.

Can I use my owner discounts on Instacart? 
Instacart is unable to honor Central Co-op owner discounts and benefits. 

What forms of payment does Instacart accept? 
Instacart accepts all major US credit and debit cards, and Apple Pay. Instacart is unable to honor coupons or store credit, or accept EBT.

 

Mercato Delivery FAQ

How does Mercato work?

  • Sign up for an Mercato account and shop our online store at www.mercato.com/shop/central-co-op. Almost anything the Co-op carries is available online.
  • Choose whether you’d like free pick-up or to have your order delivered, the order day and time, and wait for your pick-up time or if being delivered, a Mercato courier to call or text you to notify that your order has arrived at your delivery address. If you have selected free pick-up, you can expect your order to be ready by the start of your 1-hour pick-up window (selected at checkout).

Where and when can I get delivery?

Central Co-op delivery is available to the greater Tacoma area including Federal Way, University Place and more, from 7:30am to 9pm daily. You can check if your home is near enough for Central Co-op delivery by entering your zip code through Mercato. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day.

Will the prices on Mercato and in the store be the same?
Central Co-op prices on Mercato will be the same as regular retail prices in-store.

Who picks out my groceries for me when I order them online?
Your order will always be carefully hand-picked by Central Co-op staff.

To find answers to additional questions and to contact them, please visit the Mercato help center at help.mercato.com. You may also contact Central Co-op, online, by phone, or in-store. Some questions are better handled by Mercato and some by Central Co-op; but whoever you contact, we will do our best to resolve your concern or get you in touch with someone who can.

Mercato guarantees your satisfaction with every product. If you are dissatisfied with any item in your order, please contact Mercato to receive a replacement or refund for 100% of the item cost.
