Pickling is one of the oldest and most popular techniques for preserving the bounty of harvest. In this workshop we’ll explore three methods, quick (refrigerator pickles), traditional “End of the Harvest” mixed pickles, and demonstrating fermentation through making sauerkraut. All participants will get to take home a sample of pickles.
The class will be taught by Hal Meng, Certified Food Preservation Instructor and Director of the Center for Food Preservation Arts.
